LEAGUE INFORMATION Summer League Information Date:  Every Thursday from June 13 – September 5, 2019 Northwoods Archers has a 3D Summer Outdoors League which starts every year in mid-June and runs into September.  This is definitely a highlight of our year!  It is a great way to get your bow tuned up and ready for archery season. This league is not a scored event, and you do not need to participate every week. Come out and shoot for fun or to brush up on your archery skills before archery season.  Kids 12 and under shoot for free.  Food and beverages are available at the clubhouse.  If you don't feel like shooting, stop out for supper in our air-conditioned clubhouse.   The course has colored shooting stakes set at yardages ranging up to 15, 25, 35, and 50 yards.  We also offer a traditional stake for our primitive archers.  We fog the trails to help control mosquitoes, and thermacells and repellent is available at the clubhouse.   Targets are set hunter style to test your hunting skills.  Come out and experience the thrill of shooting a carp and alligator on the pond, a turkey in the tree, the climbing bear, or a frog on the lily pad.  You will also shoot Wisconsin elk and the endangered gray wolf!  Archers will shoot through cornstalks while sitting on a log and out of tower stands to practice a tree stand shot.  Shoot the steel deer for extra points to bring up your total score or to test your mental skills. Although listed as a summer league, this is just a fun time to come out and shoot. Keeping your score is optional and the main objective is to come out and have a good time.  We have 20 targets strategically place throughout the course ranging from 5 to 50 yards.  Make some time this summer to bring your family or friends out to one of the best 3D archery courses in Wisconsin.
